WHY I LOVE EATING BANANA

Banana = Monkey


If the above is what you believe that only monkeys should eat banana then you are mistaken. Anyway, I still want to know the Doctor that prescribed banana for monkeys because the prescription is a very valuable one.

Why should humans eat banana?
There are numerous reasons why humans should eat banana more that we have been doing. This reasons are listed below.

Choline is a fat-blasting vitamin B that fight against the storage of fats in the belly. Banana contain about 12mg of choline thus fighting the accumulation of fats.
Banana contains few calories and high fiber. Eating fruits and veggies with more fiber has been associated with lower body weight and also weight loss.

Makes your bones stronger
You may wonder how since banana does not contain high amount of calcium. Research shows that banana contains fructooligosaccharides which ferment in the body. When fructooligosaccharides ferment in your tract of digestion or digestive tract, it increase the ability of the body to absorb calcium.

Relax and see the reason why eating banana will make you happy. Tryptophan(an amino acid) and serotonin(a monoamine neurotransmitter) are the secret. Banana contains tryptophan which your body convert to serotonin, when the serotonin in the body is at the proper level the following will happen:

  • stress will reduce
  • Mood will improve
  • Your general outlook will be enhanced
  • You'll sleep better

Banana is not the only source of tryptophan but eating banana is an easy source of it.

Fight diseases/cancer
Bananas do not have vitamin A but have provitamin A carotenoids, alpha-carotene and beta-carotene (they are carotenoids) which is converted into vitamin A in the body. Carotenoids foods are known for protecting the body from ailments such as diabetes, cancer, cardiovascular diseases and even ulcer.
Banana will balance stomach pH, thicken protective mucus barrier and prevent damage that may result from hydrochloric acid thus  protecting against stomach ulcer.

Lowers blood pressure
You know what that means. Right?
High intake of potassium = lowest blood pressure. Not only does high intake of potassium lowers blood pressure, it also fight against stroke and heart attack.
Banana is high in potassium so you know what eating banana means now.
Don't forget the equation: High intake of potassium = lowest level of blood pressure.

The carotenoids in banana helps maintain normal vision and protect your eyes as it also prevent macular degeneration.
